Bloom is Gathering Again: A Community for Women Over 50
Oct 08, 2026
A Year of Listening, Rebuilding, and Coming Home to Bloom
A year ago, I launched Bloom Where You Are Planted.
At the time, it was an idea I could feel more than I could fully explain. I knew I wanted Bloom to become a community for women over 50 who were looking for more connection, meaning, and shared experience. I knew I wanted to create something rooted in shared experiences and genuine support, especially for women who could sense that something was missing, even if they could not quite put a name to it.
It was never about dismissing the lives we had built. Most of us have built full lives. We have loved, worked, raised, cared for, created, endured, and shown up in more ways than anyone will ever fully know.
But I also knew there were needs many of us had set aside. Needs for peace. Creativity. Nourishment. Adventure. Beauty. Friendship. Deeper conversation. A sense that there is still more life to be lived, not because what came before was not enough, but because we are still here.
That was the beginning of Bloom.
I wanted women to understand that their life experience matters. I wanted them to know that legacy does not have to be a headline. It does not have to be loud or public or impressive to anyone else. Legacy can be the way we gather people. The way we tell our stories. The way we care for the land, our homes, our tables, and one another. It can be found in small choices, quiet courage, family recipes, open doors, honest words, and the life we keep choosing.
What a year it has been.
I interviewed many women. I had many conversations about the idea of Bloom. So many of you shared your thoughts, your questions, your hopes, and your reasons for being here. You trusted me with honest pieces of your stories, and I have not taken that lightly.
I listened.
The first half of the year was full. A new website. A new rhythm. Some successes. Some misses. A lot of learning and tweaking. Then, over the last four months, I spent time learning the Kajabi platform so I could build something stronger and more useful for this community.
But the bigger work was not technical.
The bigger work was soul searching.
I had to look honestly at how I saw Bloom playing out, what my role was meant to be, and what your role in this community could become. I went back through the comments and suggestions many of you shared. I looked at where Bloom was, and where it really needed to go.
So if it has seemed quiet, please know this. I have not been absent because Bloom stopped mattering.
I have been rebuilding it so it can matter more clearly.
Coming Back to the Heart of Bloom
One of the clearest things I realized is that some of the language no longer fit.
There were words that felt too much like fixing. Too much like coaching. Too much like there was something wrong with us that needed to be solved before we could begin.
That is not what I believe.
I do not want Bloom to be a place where women come to be fixed. I want it to be a place where women come to remember what still feels alive. I want to share and encourage, not prescribe. I want to create room for possibility, not pressure.
So I scrubbed language that did not fit me. I scrubbed language that did not fit the community. I went back to the instincts that led me to say yes to Bloom in the first place.
Moving forward, Bloom creates meaningful food, nature, travel, story, and legacy experiences for women over 50 who are ready for deeper connection and ready to say yes to what is still possible.
That feels true.
I want women to know it is okay to fill the needs that have gone quiet. It is okay to want beauty. It is okay to want friendship. It is okay to want adventure. It is okay to want a deeper conversation than the ones we sometimes have in passing. It is okay to want something that makes you feel alive again.
For me, one of those moments was a trip to Alaska to photograph grizzly bears. That experience was defining for me. Not because everyone needs to go to Alaska or photograph bears. That will not be everyone’s version of alive.
But the feeling matters.
The feeling of standing in your own life and recognizing yourself again. The feeling of being awake to the world. The feeling of awe, curiosity, courage, and joy returning in a way you had almost forgotten.
That is part of what I want Bloom to hold.
I also realized that the early direction was missing some of the fun. It was too focused on the fix. And honestly, I do not want to fix anything.
I want to gather.
I want to connect women from all over who share the desire to feel alive again. I want Bloom to be a safe place for honest and open conversation, where we can talk about what is real without needing to polish it first.
Nature will always be a strong part of Bloom. There are many reasons for that, but the simplest one is this. Nature is good for the mind, body, and soul.
Nourishment will also be a strong part of Bloom. Food is what I know. It is my wheelhouse. The table has always been one of the most natural places for connection, memory, comfort, and conversation.
Travel will have its place too, because travel can wake us up. It can bring together connection, food, culture, beauty, experience, and story in ways that stay with us.
And through all of it, intentional living will be the thread.
How we choose to live impacts the legacy we create, live, and leave. That happens in small ways and big ways. It happens in what we say yes to. It happens in how we gather, what we notice, who we listen to, and what we decide still matters.
An Invitation to Gather Again
So today, I want to say thank you.
Thank you for hanging in here. Thank you for trusting the idea of Bloom before it was fully shaped. Thank you for clicking the button, answering the questions, sharing your thoughts, and allowing this idea to grow with care instead of hurry.

Bloom is still becoming. In many ways, that feels right, because we are still becoming too.
I am inviting you to be part of this community as it grows. Not as a spectator, but as a woman whose voice matters here.
Your stories matter. Your questions matter. Your longings matter. Your lived experience matters. The way you see food, nature, travel, story, home, friendship, courage, and legacy matters.
I would be honored to continue this journey with you.
I would be honored to hear what you are aching for, what you are curious about, what you want to experience, and what would help you feel more connected to yourself and to other women in this season of life.
If you are looking for a community for women over 50 built around food, nature, travel, story, legacy, and honest conversation, Bloom is gathering again.
Bloom was never meant to be built alone.
It was meant to be shaped around a table, through conversation, through shared experiences, through honest reflection, and through the kind of connection that reminds us we are not finished.
There is more beauty to notice.
There are more stories to tell.
There are more tables to gather around.
There are more places to go.
There is more life to feel.
And I am so grateful you are here as Bloom grows into what it was meant to become.
What is one thing that makes you feel alive again?
If this resonated with you, stay connected.
