Let's Go To Costa Rica!
My passion for the great outdoors and sharing experiences with women over 50 is unending. Come along on this thrilling journey of exploration.
I'm Packing and Ready to Go!
Unleash Your Adventurous Spirit with Bloom Where You Are Planted!
Greetings!
Close your eyes and picture this with me: it's April 26 in lively San José. We roll our suitcases into the artful Hotel Presidente, wander the pedestrian mall for espresso and museum moments, then gather on the rooftop to toast 14 gentle, joyful days designed for women over 50—comfort, curiosity, and sisterhood in easy balance.
Next morning, city hum softens to rainforest hush. We slip through Braulio Carrillo and boat quiet canals to Tortuguero’s Aninga Hotel & Spa. Time stretches: gliding past herons and howlers, walking leaf-dappled paths, if the banana farms are running, we’ll peek behind the scenes there, too.
A short flight lifts us to Arenal and Arenal Manoa Resort, with on-site hot springs. Choose your rhythm: Hanging Bridges, Arenal National Park, La Fortuna Waterfall, a serene safari float, or go bold with zip-lining, rafting, or canyoning. The area offers an amazing variety of day trips. Depending on how you roll- they range from $70 to $200 and most include lunch. Or simply relax in the hot springs for some soul refueling.
We meander on to Cerro Lodge near Tárcoles, where birdsong scores the day and Scarlet Macaws streak the sky. With Carara National Park and the Tárcoles River nearby, wildlife boat tours and golden-hour photos practically plan themselves.
For our grand flourish, we land on the wild Osa Peninsula at La Paloma Lodge. Two full-day tours are included—Caño Island snorkeling and Corcovado (San Pedrillo) with a waterfall swim—and we’ve added a day at La Sirena, famed for unforgettable wildlife. One evening, we’ll join Tracie “The Bug Lady” for a night walk as the rainforest comes alive. Kayaks, beach paths, and unhurried conversations are always within reach.
On May 8, we return to San José for a cozy overnight before flights home—sun-warmed, steadier in breath, and surrounded by new friends who now feel like old ones.
If your heart leaned forward, she’s already saying yes. Bloom with us in Costa Rica, April 26–May 9, 2026
